This book is about our development work in Tranquebar - a town, which is also known as the Land of the Singing Waves.
Since the Tsunami in 2004, BESTSELLER FUND has helped Tranquebar overcome this disaster by starting a number of social and educational projects like coastal protection planting, solid waste management, and other employment generating activities in collaboration with INTACH and the Saint Joseph´s Development Trust.
The book also describes the history of the old place and shows pictures of the restoration work of many of the old Tamil and Danish houses in the beautiful and peaceful town.
