The Heritage Walk of Tranquebar is a brochure with a map over the old city of Tranquebar. There are numbers on the map pointing out interesting heritage sites of the town such as Dansborg and the Governor’s Building etc.
Next there is a short read about some of the most important buildings of the town. There is also an overview of the town’s history, beginning in 1306 with the temple of Masilamani Nathar being built to India’s independence in 1947.
The brochure also describes INTACHs work with preservation of architectural heritage in Tranquebar and Tranquebar future development as a heritage destination. The brochure is filled with beautiful pictures of the town.
